"The Austin Scene" is a jazz composition dug out from the archives from Colwell's teenage years, growing up in Austin, TX, and finding his legs in the Austin jazz scene. Colwell recounts logging notebooks full of compositional ideas that were stored away and dug out in 2023 specifically to record a song for the Inner Ocean Records jazz compilation "Colour Theory", pulling together jazz musicians from around the world, pushing the boundaries of jazz today. Recording and performance by Zac Colwell.
