Migration is the first time musical collaboration by long time friends Cory Giordano (aka charlie dreaming) and Dan Panarese (aka Peter Bark).  Linked by a common lineage of their Italian families crossing the ocean to make new homes in Canada and the US respectively, Migration is inspired by their journeys, the complex emotions of starting a new life in a foreign land and the places they left behind.  Each song on the album follows the sequence of travel by the Giordano family; starting in their home town of Faiano, Italy, departing from the romantic port city of Napoli aboard the ship Saturna to cross the Atlantic ocean, landing on the east coast of Canada in Halifax, riding the Canadian Pacific railway across the country to arrive in the small town of Gleichen, Alberta.

Migration is a balancing act of emotions between excitement, curiosity and bewilderment with trepidation, remorse and fear. This album is about the thrill of new beginnings, the grief of leaving everyone you know behind and how the decision of a young family can change the course of the future for the generations ahead.
